For those who qualify, Kids Unlimited Services, Inc. provides transportation as needed from the child’s home to our family child care programs. Each parent/authorized adult must accompany the child to the bus and must also be present to accompany the child from the drop off location at the end of the day. The bus driver is responsible for the child while in transit.
At the time of enrollment, all transported childrens' parents/guardians are asked to complete a written Transportation Permission and Emergency Contact Information form which indicates how the child will arrive and return home from the family child care home.
- The drivers are to wait at each house for no more than 3 minutes for both pick-up and drop-off. If parent/authorized adult is not outside within 3 minutes, the driver will leave and not return on that day.
- Please notify Kids Unlimited Services, Inc. when your child is not in need of transportation.
- Due to traffic and/or weather conditions, the bus schedules may vary, therefore we ask that you plan for a 15 minute leeway before and after the scheduled time.
- In a medical emergency, the driver will be instructed to go to nearest hospital emergency room.
- The bus will only pick up and drop off at the designated location. If there is a problem on a specific day that you will be unable to be at that location, then you will need to make your own transportation arrangements.
Safety Rules and Guidelines
- Driver will buckle child in.
- No food or beverages allowed on the van.
- No toys/stuffed animals (unless it is a comfort item that your daycare will allow, and this item should be inside a bag).
- If your child becomes sick while in childcare, it will be the parent's responsibility to pick the child up from the childcare program.
- If you are a no call/no show 3 times your transporation may be cancelled. Driver and Child care provider should be notified of a child's absence in advance.
- Please make sure your emergency back up information is up to date with our drivers. We will not leave children with anyone not listed as your emergency backup.
- Kids Unlimited does not provide transportation if a provider closes early due to a personal appointment (we do not offer mid day runs, unless authorized by the office) this is the parents responsibility to arrange alternate transportation, unless this is due to weather.
